- Boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs, sliced
- Flour
- Buttermilk
- Milk
- Small onion, sliced
- Jalapeño pepper, sliced
- Garlic powder
- Onion powder
- Dried thyme
- Paprika
- Hot red pepper sauce
- Hot chili powder
- Salt
- Black pepper
- In a large bowl, combine the milk, buttermilk, sliced onion, jalapeño pepper, salt, black pepper, and hot red pepper sauce. Mix well.
- Add the chicken and stir, then cover the bowl and refrigerate for 2 hours or overnight.
- In another bowl, mix the flour, onion powder, garlic powder, thyme, paprika, hot chili powder, salt, and black pepper.
- Dip the chicken into the flour mixture, then fry it in deep, hot oil until golden brown.
- Place the fried chicken in serving dishes and serve hot with yellow basmati rice and garlic sauce.
